Screening Decisions for Sustainability
The ‘Screening Decisions for Sustainability’ course equips public sector organisations with a 
tool and methodology to integrate sustainability into their decision-making processes. 
Participants will learn how to evaluate the environmental and social impacts of proposed 
actions using Sustainable NI’s innovative web-based decision tool. Through expert guidance 
and practical demonstrations, this course will help embed sustainability into everyday 
decisions, ensuring that projects and proposals minimise harm and promote positive 
outcomes for the environment and society.
Course Format:
A concise 1-hour introduction covering the fundamentals, ideal if you are short on time or ideal for raising awareness across teams and departments.
By the end of the course, participants will
- Understand the importance of embedding sustainability into decision-making 
 processes.
- Gain proficiency in using Sustainable NI’s web-based decision tool to assess 
 environmental and social impacts.
- Learn to identify and evaluate sustainability risks and opportunities within proposed 
 actions.
