RE[act] Festival returns to Belfast from 9–15 November 2026 celebrating sustainability, innovation, collaboration and action.
The 2026 programme is built around five core themes: People, Planet, Peace, Partnership and Prosperity. Featuring talks, workshops, tours, screenings, networking and practical sessions across the city.
For the first time, RE[act] is taking an all-island approach, connecting partners and Business Improvement Districts in Belfast, Dundalk, Dublin and Sligo.
The festival is designed to give people practical ways to get involved, whether they are new to sustainability or already active in their community.
For residents, it offers a chance to learn something practical, meet local organisations and find ways to contribute to a healthier, greener city.
For businesses and community groups, it provides opportunities to share ideas, form partnerships and explore sustainability actions that can be applied locally.
Key Programme Highlights Include:
- RE[purpose] Closing The Loop: Exploring business waste-to-resource opportunities and circular-economy collaboration. (Monday, 9 November)
- RE[connect] Turning Social Value into Community Impact: Connecting businesses with third-sector organisations to turn social-value commitments into action. (Tuesday, 10 November)
- RE[frame] Lights, Camera, Climate Action: A behind-the-scenes look at sustainability in Northern Ireland’s screen sector. (Tuesday, 10 November)
- RE[think] Is Your Building Ready for the Future?: Delivering practical retrofit, energy, and clean-technology insights for property and facility leads. (Thursday, 12 November)

Organisers are encouraging attendees to travel sustainably to festival venues, using public transport or active travel where possible.
