EVENT OVERVIEW
On 1 May 2025 a webinar was held to provide an overview of Sustainable NI's Sustainability Compass. The screening tool, called the Sustainability Compass, is a web-based decision tool for public bodies to assess the environmental and social implications of proposed decisions. It allows users to evaluate both capital and non-capital projects, generating either a Climate and Environmental assessment or a combined Climate, Environmental, and Social assessment. By answering a series of questions about the project, the tool produces a report that highlights potential impacts in areas such as greenhouse gas emissions, biodiversity, and waste management, among others. The report also provides tips and advice to reduce the negative impact of the project.
