Sustainable NI is pleased to offer Carbon Literacy for Local Authorities, an accredited training programme specifically designed for local authority officers and elected members.

This interactive course provides participants with an understanding of climate change, the impacts of carbon emissions, and the practical actions that individuals, teams and organisations can take to support the transition to a low-carbon future.

Delivered using the Carbon Literacy Local Authorities Toolkit, the course is tailored to a local government context and explores the unique role councils play in reducing emissions, influencing communities and achieving climate objectives.

The toolkit has been developed with and for local authorities and is used across the UK to support climate action and organisational change.
