An organisation seeking funding in all of the themes covered by EU Structural and Investment Funds is required to demonstrate how its project will promote equality and sustainable development. Projects must also show how they will minimise any adverse environmental impact. A failure to meet these requirements will disqualify an application.
Sustainable NI can deliver workshops for applicants to Interreg VA and Peace IV funding allocations. We use a specially adapted version of our Sustainability Assessment Tool to enable aspirant organisations to meet the necessary criteria in completing their applications. Our objective is to help with incorporating sustainability criteria at the project definition stage to satisfy these horizontal principles.
