Response to the changes to planning permitted development rights to protect the environment and help address climate change

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) launched in October 2022 a consultation on proposed changes to the Permitted Development Rights for Domestic Microgeneration Equipment and Reverse Vending Machines. DfI was seeking views on proposals to revise permitted development rights for the installation of domestic microgeneration equipment such as heat pumps and provide new permitted development rights for reverse vending machines.
