FSEW – Leading the Freight Decarbonisation Movement

FSEW Ltd. is a Cardiff-based logistics and freight company that is a leader in sustainable freight, working with major clients like Tesco, Maersk, and Ford.

In 2022 FSEW was the first in the UK to introduce heavy freight fully electric trucks into their fleet in partnership with Tesco.

The company aims to achieve carbon net-zero status by 2025, setting ambitious sustainability goals for itself and its industry. Through a combination of innovative practices and a commitment to decarbonisation, FSEW has established itself as a frontrunner in green logistics, helping its clients reduce their environmental impact as well.

A cornerstone of FSEW’s decarbonisation approach is transitioning its fleet to alternative fuels. Investments in electric trucks and sustainable refuelling infrastructure have already enabled the company to eliminate over 1.6 million diesel miles and cut 1,828 tons of CO₂ emissions. FSEW's efforts have proven that sustainable logistics are both feasible and impactful, setting a powerful example within the freight sector.

With recent reports showing that more than a quarter of UK emissions come from transport, with almost 5% from heavy goods vehicles, measures to reduce emissions in the transport sector is vital to achieving reduction targets.
