The Sustainable Development Forum is a networking forum that promotes a coordinated approach to the delivery of sustainable development in Northern Ireland. It provides critical support for public sector organisations, particularly councils, in complying with their statutory duty for sustainable development.

The forum itself was established in 2013 with the aim of promoting the profile of sustainability within local government and providing a platform for individual organisations to collaborate on sustainable development issues and share experience, intelligence and best practice in an atmosphere of trust and mutual support.

Membership includes representatives of central and local government and other stakeholders from the public and third sector.

You can download the Forum’s Terms of Reference here.

Forum members can use the resources menu to navigate to the minutes and other items presented or discussed at Forum meetings.
